CHSS Lecturer Syuzanna Torosyan Presents at Sorbonne’s Paris Conference on Arts and Humanities

PARIS, France — Syuzanna Torosyan, a lecturer in the Bachelor of Arts in English and Communications program and recruitment coordinator for the Master of Arts in Teaching English as a Foreign Language program at the American University of Armenia (AUA), recently presented her work at the prestigious Paris Conference on Arts and Humanities, held at the Sorbonne University International Conference Centre.

Honored with a fellowship scholarship from the Hovnanian Foundation, Torosyan led a dynamic workshop titled “Discourse Analysis in Action: A Hands-On Approach Using a Variety of Tools.” Her presentation not only showcased innovative teaching methodologies, but also highlighted AUA’s academic excellence on the international stage.

Reflecting on her experience, Torosyan shared: “This was one of the most rewarding teaching and learning experiences I have had. Engaging with global colleagues and exchanging insights has enriched my professional growth and strengthened my commitment to advancing education in Armenia. The conference offered a dynamic program featuring keynote addresses, interactive workshops, and panel discussions that focused on innovative practices in teaching and learning.”

Representing both Armenia and AUA, Torosyan acted as an academic ambassador, forging valuable connections and opening doors for future collaborations. The conference also offered her critical insights into emerging educational trends and research, which will directly enhance curriculum development, student recruitment, and faculty collaboration within AUA’s programs.

Torosyan’s participation underlines AUA’s ongoing dedication to fostering global engagement and pedagogical innovation, ensuring the University remains at the forefront of academic excellence in Armenia and beyond.
